Frequently asked questions

At RiverStone Behavioral Wellness, we deliver structured, compassionate, and evidence-based support designed to help adults build stability, develop practical skills, and achieve lasting independence — for those seeking care and those supporting them

What is RiverStone Behavioral Wellness?

RiverStone Behavioral Wellness is a behavioral health outpatient program currently preparing to launch services for adults seeking structured, skill-based mental health support. Our model focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), emotional regulation, and real-world stability.

What is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)?

An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides more structured support than traditional weekly therapy. It typically includes multiple sessions per week, combining group therapy, skill-building, and individual support to help stabilize symptoms and reduce crisis patterns — while allowing clients to live at home and maintain daily responsibilities.

Who is the IOP designed for?

Our program is designed for adults who:

  • Feel overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, or emotional instability

  • Experience repeated crises or difficulty maintaining stability

  • Need more structure than once-a-week therapy

  • Want practical tools, accountability, and measurable progress

  • Are stepping down from a higher level of care and need continued support

What services will be offered?

Planned services include:

  • CBT-based group therapy

  • Individual therapy sessions (as clinically indicated)

  • Crisis-reduction and stabilization support

  • Emotional regulation and life-skills development

  • Case management and system-navigation assistance

  • Coordination with outside providers when needed

Is the program trauma-informed?

Yes. RiverStone is built on a trauma-informed foundation that prioritizes safety, dignity, and collaboration. We balance compassion with structure to promote long-term stability.

Will you accept insurance or Medicaid?

We are preparing to seek appropriate approvals and will provide updates regarding insurance and Medicaid participation as licensing and credentialing are finalized.

When will RiverStone open?

RiverStone Behavioral Wellness is currently in the development and approval phase. We will announce our official opening date once all regulatory requirements are complete.

How many hours per week is the program?

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) will include 9–12 hours of group therapy per week, delivered across multiple structured sessions. The schedule is designed to provide consistent therapeutic engagement while allowing clients to maintain responsibilities at home, work, or school. Final scheduling details and specific group days/times will be provided prior to opening.

What makes RiverStone different?

We focus on structure before chaos and skill-building before dependency. Sessions are active and goal-oriented. We teach practical CBT tools, set clear objectives, and emphasize accountability so clients can function confidently outside of therapy — not just inside it.
